NLP
Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) is an approach that focuses on the connection between our thoughts, language, and behaviour. By understanding how our mind works and how we communicate with ourselves and others, NLP can provide valuable insights and techniques to improve well-being and promote personal growth.
What is NLP?
Neuro-Linguistic Programming, often called NLP, is based on the belief that our thoughts, language, and behaviour are interconnected, influencing each other in profound ways. NLP aims to identify and modify patterns of behaviour and thinking that may be limiting or causing distress. By doing so, you can gain new perspectives, enhance your communication skills, and create meaningful personal change.

How can NLP help?
Neuro-Linguistic Programming provides practical techniques that can help reduce anxiety and increase self-confidence.
During my sessions, NLP is used mainly through visualisation techniques. This allows us to look at memories from a different perspective and reduce their emotional impact.
As imagination and visualisation don't always follow the rules of logic, this gives you an opportunity to imagine a different and more positive outcome than the one that originally happened.
How? What? 😳 At first, this may sound unusual, especially if you prefer logical explanations for everything. Visualisation allows the subconscious mind to explore alternative possibilities. This gives your mind an opportunity to explore a different perspective on the memory. Having spent years training agility with my dog, I often think of it like dog training: when a dog grabs your slipper, you redirect its attention to a toy instead. You play with your dog and the toy, creating a new, positive connection. Toy -- fun. Slipper -- no fun. You create an environment of choice, where the healthier alternative becomes the more appealing choice.
